"EXPERTLY MERGES STORY AND SONG! THE DEMENTED AND GLORIOUS STAGING BY ANDREW RASMUSSEN ALL COMBINE FOR A ROLLICKING PERFORMANCE!"

CITY PAGES

Mrs. Smith's Broadway Cat-Tacular! blended the insane antics of performance artist David Hanbury's alter ego, the tormented Mrs. Smith, with her quest to find her long-lost cat, Carlyle. Together, we crafted a captivating "One-woman-and-a-cat-two-Broadway-boys-spectacular" that left audiences begging for more. Classic showstoppers and torch songs added to the allure of the performance.

With a perfect blend of humor and heartfelt pathos, Mrs. Smith found her way into the hearts of people, as the New York Times described it as "ODDLY POIGNANT." We fully embraced the weird and wonderful by incorporating puppetry, film sequences, and immersive storytelling that extended into the audience and (sometimes literally) spilled onto the streets.

Our journey took us from Minnesota to A.R.T. in Cambridge and eventually to New York City, where we performed Off-Broadway, receiving glowing praise as "PURRFECT SUMMER FARE!" from the NY POST. The show's unconventional charm and emotional depth resonated with audiences, making it a surprising experience for all involved.
